Jodell Powers M.A., LPC
Jodell enjoys working with individual adults and couples. As a therapist, Jodell provides services in a caring and sensitive environment where clients can feel safe to share life’s deepest hurts. Jodell tailors treatment to meet each person’s specific needs taking into consideration the uniqueness of each person’s background, life experience, culture, and world view. She desires to empower each person to face life’s challenges, as well as develop strength, hope, and the additional skills needed to find healing and achieve their desired goals.
Jodell earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Arlington Baptist College. Her background includes growing up overseas as a missionary kid, as well as serving as a foreign missionary with her husband for seven years. Jodell’s husband serves on church staff where she is also involved in many aspects of ministry.
Throughout her years of experience as a therapist, Jodell has worked with adults and families in various settings. Jodell has facilitated therapy groups focusing on family breakup and grief groups for adults and children. She has also facilitated psychoeducational self-esteem and parenting classes. Jodell has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence, abuse, and trauma. She also has in-depth understanding of people experiencing the effects of codependency and co-addiction.

Jodell is married and her husband is also an Ordained Minister and Licensed Counselor. They are privileged to parent an internationally adopted child and a rambunctious Coton de Tulear. She is also a proud breast cancer survivor.
